Most unlisted notes are used to alter the character of more prominent notes (weathering leaves, darkening musk, etc.). For example, black pepper is used in a fair amount of blends that very few would pick up on. Although sense of smell will vary and you may personally notice some unlisted notes distinctively, in most cases listing every oil used would be confusing and cause a false impression of what the final fragrance smells like.
Why does the same fragrance smell slightly different then before?
The majority of notes used in most blends are derived from natural oils. This can cause some minor but occasionally noticeable inconsistency in a blend. Some batches of oranges are simply sweeter then others. This is true for the oil they produce as well. It is also common for many oils to have slight character changes as they age. Some notes may become more noticeable as they mature, others may become less apparent. Although rare, some blends may change due to reformulation. Should this occur, a notice will be given in the Alternative Breeding Newsletter.
What are the ingredients of ...?
Atmosphere oils and room sprays are both made with only fragrance and fractionated coconut oil. Candles are a blend of soy wax and botanical oils. Simmering wax is a blend of mineral wax, candellia plant wax, soybean and coconut oil.
Can I use my soy candle as a lotion candle?
No. Although the vast majority of oils used are consider safe for the skin, they are used at a level of concentration much higher then what would be consider a lotion safe level. Plus removing wax from the candle may cause an uneven burn.
